How You Can Help

Whiskers Rescue has no paid staff nor a shelter facility. Our focus is on stopping the reproduction of feral cats BEFORE their kittens end up in already over crowded shelters.

The vast majority of our funds go directly to the management of feral cats and the medical bills associated with trap, neuter, return. Every cat we catch is neutered, tested for FeLV, vaccinated, treated for parasites and ear tipped before release.

Every cat we catch costs approximately $110. In some cases more medical care is needed including things like dental care and treatment of injuries. We do remove kittens from colonies and adopt them to loving families. Every kitten is provided the same medical care as their feral parents other then being ear tipped. Every kitten is neutered so that we know they will never contribute to the epidemic of homeless pets.

Although we do charge an adoption fee for our kittens we lose money on every one we adopt out. We rely on donations to make up the difference in medical costs for adoptable cats. Our primary need is always funds to pay vetrinary costs. The only way we can humanely control the number of kittens being born on our streets is with your help.

We gladly accept donations in three ways. Monetary donations can be sent to address below. You can also send paypal donations by clicking on the Donate button on the side bar. If you are unable to make a monetary donation but still want to help please consider sending us jewelry or other small items to auction on ebay. Items for auction can be sent directly to our post office box. All proceeds will go directly to the cats.
